1A720954 - happily has the internals,
Combining CDL with rear diff lock in an otherwise standard TD5 and I find the limiting factor is the height clearance now - this truck goes well against modified Mitsubishi's that I 4WD with across many terrain types. A lift has to be my next modification

Your D2 was built 22/02/2001, so well within the "CDL blessed" range

Mine is marked as 04/01 build date and has the cdl internals

Had no cdl internal ( have now though )

18/07/2001 was the build date. Your D2 is a 2A so definitely didn't have a CDL from the factory.

The D2's had a plate riveted to the body in front of the air box which gives you the build month. If you stand at passenger side guard and look over the front edge of the air box you'll see it. Exact date requires a look up on Topix or Microcat.

Microcat lists build date for that VIN as 23/02/2001 ( or 27/02/2001 on Topix). Warranty start was 17 May 2001 so 04/01 is going to be the compliance date.

Feb 01 is safely in the "CDL internals fitted" range.
