    Rear seats question

Can anyone tell me if the Mounting Bolts/Nuts for the rear seats on the 7 seat models are still in place behind the bins on the 5 seat model? I am changing over some of my accessories between the two models and need to know if they are there or not before I start cutting holes in things.

Can't say for sure as I have a 7 seater but the attachments for the seats on each side are 2 bolts which thread into captive bolts plus 2 nuts that go onto studs that stick out from the side panel. You should be able to see the studs if they are there??

    Exclamation Rear Seat Question

I have a disco td5 2000 and there are no mountins above the tank so I would suspect that all supports for the sides would also be missing

I was afraid that might be the case. I'll just have to get the two of them side by side and work out what I'm going to do. Might be time to rework the original design somewhat.

The captive nuts are in the floor and on the sides but no bolts or seat latch floor fittings. You will also need the lower seat belt inertia reel brackets that bolt to the floor behind the side trim panels. By the way the left hand seat mountings are different if there is rear aircon fitted.

I don't want to use the seats, just want the captive nuts to transfer my dual battery set up over to the new vehicle. I used the nuts to bolt the box into position. Looks like I may be able to move it straight across without modifying after all.
