As per John's comment, if you have the internals, I got a D1 CDL lever with all the required bits from a wreckers for about $50, pulling it myself. Not as neat as the cable linkages in the later models, but works.

I'm looking at the kit from Triumph Rover Spares, quote was $595 for the kit and $30 postage.
My disco has the internals, checked serial number on the TC, found the spigot, activated it and a check of the VIN confirms it.
Looks like CDL it is then...
Anyone know a good way to remove the wood panel?
Some sort of solvent to get rid of the adhesive?
    Cheers

Muppet, you CAN have your cake and eat it to.
My CDL kit consists of a kids training wheel bracket on the spigot and a piece of wire over the chassis rail through the plastic trim under the drivers door. Save up for SEXY, sure, but get it working for about 20 minutes of fiddling under the car.
Then, get out and drive it to learn about the new traction charachteristics of your car. CDL is not the same as having front and rear lockers in, you still ned to find your new limitations and learn to drive 'around' the system at times.

I reckon you might have been sniffing too hard on those solvents DM!!

There is no need to remove the wood panel, in fact it's completely pointless. The screws/bolts holding the console in place are under the front edge of the range/cdl lever boot and in the bottom of the console box.

    See RAVE 76.25.01

And don't forget the SRD500070 ECU upgrade which gives you the final and best version of the ETC/ABS programming which is optimised for engaged CDL

Unless of course I no longer want the wood panel....
And don't say "sniffing"... I haven't been able to breathe properly through my nose for a week!
And Dave, i know Not planning on lockers at this stage, can't really justify the expense

Watch it, I'll sneeze on you!
I dislike the wood panel, I want to rip it out and put a rubber mat down.
