Thread: D2 03 Aux Battery Location

I want to fit an Aux Battery, and am not impressed by ARBs offering ($, proximity to turbo heat & tiny non-deep cycle Century battery). I've tried to identify Optimas; Oddyssey & Hawker options but all too tall. My plan is to occupy the bottom of the OS rear side storage bin. Before I "invent the wheel", anyone else already sorted this?

Not 100% on a diesel but I know I can fit 2 x optimas into the original box, I'm remaking it in alloy, but need to cut back into the section I think houses the ECU. If this can be relocated then you're home and conveniently towelled off. At least in the plastic one you need to cut out the wall, and raise the floor to lift it enough to get more length due to the angled back side.
