Would that show up in Nanocom cylinder balance? Had a quick look on the weekend and looked ok, nothing vastly different to the others.

Will look further for coolant leaks, need to check around the turbo. Also the fuel cooler apparently.

I wouldn't think a head gasget will show up on the cyl balance untill fairly bad.

Park the rig warm and check after sitting overnight before starting for stains left from the coolant.

Known leaky spots to start with...
    Steped hose underneath the turbo.
Plug into the head between the exhast ports(between 4&5 IIRC).
    Fuel cooler end cap leaks.
Top radiator hose "T"ed hose rubing on the air conditioner pipe.
Fan shroud screws, they sometimes peirce the side tanks causing minor leaking(remove screw to check).
Water pump(drives of the back of the power steering pump).
Once these are cheacked do the usual all hoses for rubbing ect.

    Cheers, Kyle.

As above. Won't show up on cyl balance with Nanocom. Unless really bad and other indicators would confirm.

    Cheers

Just a quick update. No coolant has been used since last post here (6-8 weeks ago).

I had the turbo heatshield off a couple of weekends ago as I needed to weld up the bracket to stop the clatter. The small hose under the manifold looks and feels fine and there is no coolant leak from the plug behind the manifold. I'll keep a close eye on things but it seems like something isolated, maybe the expansion tank cap was not put back on by the mechanic after the top hose to block pipe was changed.

    Cheers,

Maybe I spoke too soon, there was a small puddle (like a teaspoon size) under the car when I did an oil change on the weekend. The level in the header tank is fine, more monitoring required.

ditto the Head Gasket.... I too had the fan running on thing after i switched off and got curious and whilst poking around under the hood realised that i had an overpressure problem (rock hard top hose - weeping at ends) and vanishing coolant but no puddles. The head gasket turned out to be the culprit - i had it changed partly as a preventative maintenance service item only because my truck had done 270,000 + K's on the original gasket and happily the other problems are GONE !
