I think it look ok. I think the high sides on the basket makes it look a lot higher. It's a huge basket, don't be to temped to load to much heavy stuff up there. Could get a bit hairy.
How did the fitting go. Did you use those uni strut bolts to hold it down. At least you don't have to sell the old rack now and save on buying a new one.

if the roof rack is fitted, yep, its too high.
saw a lady in a cruiser enter casurina today, ignored the bunting of the safety bar hitting her roof rack (probably didnt hear it over the stero) and then buckled the roof on the under cover car park.
only just had it fitted... plenty of tears and hubbies going to be mad.
Thanks Dave yeah I would be in tears too. I have had vehicles for years that wont get into any low areas, ie: carparks. I dont even attempt them as I know the outcome if I do :mad::(. So kind of used to not going there. I might see if I can get the top cut off and lower the top of the basket a little which will allow me to get into my garage again and while at it, make an angled wind deflector at the front. Currently it misses out getting in garage by about an inch. I dont think the actual height is too bad its just the depth of the basket which may be the problem. Overall I'm happy with it though.

Looks good mate. I doubt there is much you could do anyway even if it was a tad high, but it looks ok to me.
Thanks Adam, I'm ""so far"" pretty happy with it but would be even better if I could get it down a bit. I could if had the skills lower the whole thing a couple of inches but it would be a fairly big job to do.

It is hard to make it more streamlined when using the 280mm Rhino legs, I have these with a Rhino basket and in my opinion that sits too high.
My old D1 had 210mm modified with spacers and a flat rack, which was a great set up, I will probably swap over my current legs in time.
I think a lot of this is down to personal preference, if you like it leave it, and spend your time and money getting out and enjoying it.
