I am only aware of Oil coolers suffering when the Cooling System has been neglected(multiple issues). So possible servicing issue to begin with. Why was your cooler replaced and the other vehicle?
As Tombie said no reason to touch during servicing.
2 vehicles , 2 coolers, 2 turbos, same service centre ....bit more than curious.
As Offtrack says also crappy silicone gasket, or perhaps the methods used to ensure cleanliness during disassembly, repair and replacement are suspect.
What oils/ grade are being used during service?
What do you mean by a "blown" turbo?
Are the turbines rubbing, seized or is it leaking oil etc?
To be fair to the service mob, some more specific accurate info could be beneficial to all.
