    Question Brake Pad Wear

I have owned My D2 for around 100k km now and decided to check the brake pad wear(the pads and rotors had been done back and front the week prior to me purchasing it).

Presently, Front pad wear = about 5% wear or less(little or no visible wear) and Rear pad wear = about 70% wear.

Is this a normal wear rate (front compared to rear) on a 99 D2 ??

I have never seen brakes wear more on the rear than the front. I don't do a lot of towing or carrying weight in the back of the car.

The only faults logged on the nanocom are the shuttle valves(I'll get around to fixing that eventually) but I as I said, this appears to be slightly odd to me.

Has anyone had similar wear rates on the brakes ?? or is able to say that this is normal on a D2 or not

    Cheers,

    Jason

Are you certain they did the rear pads

But yes, have heard of it and seen it happen... Especially if they fitted different compound pads front to rear.

sure thing, does seem a bit excessive though, Iv'e tried different style of pads over the years and have just bought a set of the kevlar type on fleabay. I ran them on the rear and a more standard set on the front the kevlar work quite well, not that I am hard on them, but the real bonus has been that there is no noticable dust build up and mags stay alot cleaner
