Traxide don't do a relay kit for the D2a do they? I would be interested if you know how to make it work?

No, they don't do a kit to suit the D2a. I have just purchased the dual relay from them that they use in the kit, not the complete kit. I will make my own wiring up to suit the D2a headlights. It shouldn't be difficult, it's just a a matter of adding the relay into the system, so the wire that is currently powering the globes will become the trigger wire for the relay, the relay will then have a completely new main power wire directly from the battery that will power the headlight globes. This will mean that the power wire powering the headlight globes will not have to go through the headlamp switch and mosfets which causes the voltage drop (reference JC comments in post #4 and Graeme's in post #5 in http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...ht-wiring.html ).
25% off this week at repco. Getting a couple of sets. Matt
I replaced the woeful lights in my 31 year old J 20 Jeep with Phillips 120s
They were a lot better.
I Find if I have my spotties on ( 2x 150 Piaas And 2x Cibie super oscars) ,I can't see a bloody thing when I dip , due to loss of night vision.
The new toy. The disco is going to get some 120 s when it has been over the pits. It has good head lights already so will be really good I hope.
It came with a pair of IPFs which do ok and will stay.
Getting back on the thread, sorry, The 120 s really do work well.
Regards Nick.
How have the Plus 120 globles held up over the last 12 months? This is aimed at the people who fitted them back in 2012, as I'm looking at fitting them to my D2a.
Have they lasted or blown (How much driving do you do with your headlights on), is the light output still as good now as when they were new.
Nothing like dragging an old thread up!
Cheers,
Kelvin.
When I had my +120's in my VU Commodore ute they lasted till I sold it.....
My BA Falcon on the other hand seems to like going through them.....
Mine are still going strong. Plenty of use, on and off road.
Would still highly recommend them.
