Thread: Narva Plus 120 headlight Globe

According to the site - Performance Globes - Products - Narva :

Suitable for use with polycarbonate headlamps
• No increase in power consumption or heat

So I don't see any reason you couldn't use them in the Discovery's headlights.

I haven't used the Plus 120, but I did fit the Plus 50 into my ex girlfriends Toyota Corolla and the difference over the standard globes was sensational. I think I will give the Plus 120 a try sometime.

The part number for H7 ones are 48366BL ( H7 - Products - Narva ).

I run Narva blue plus 90 along with the Traxide heaadlight relay kit, it give a good spread on low beam and I'm very happy with the high beam.

the only issue is that I find im changing them out due to blowing the low beam every 12 to 14 months, but i normaly drive with low beam on when off roading.

Well your "Narva Blue" are reducing effective light output.. SO you went +90 then wiped a heap of its light output off


And I would avoid Narva, go Osram or Phillips....

Have nothing solid to back it up because obviously Narva arent about to say who they do business with, but when I last spoke with the Narva rep about the +120's, he mentioned that Osram and Philips make Narva's bulbs.....

All the Narva H4 globes I've ever used (and I've used quite a few) are Osram.

Totally agree on the blue tint though.

and the + series globes are very good.
I always use them in our Patrol as its headlights are so bad (they disperse too much) and SWMBO has ordinary night vision.

At least I have real headlights in the 'fender so I can use higher wattage globes

I replaced mine with Narva 120's as they were half price at autobarn.
They were definately better, and no I'll effects that I have noticed.

These give off a nice bright white light, with only a small section of the bulb lense blue. I am a very happy customer, as I drive to work in the dark with these bulbs and some mid range driving lights.

If you you are serious about your headlights, consider a wiring upgrade to get the most out of the bulbs. There have been good reports with the wiring upgrade with the standard bulbs. I think traxide sells kits.

Last night I ordered the headlight relay from Traxide - two week wait for stock though.


Today I fitted Narva Intense H7 < Performance Globes - Products - Narva > globes to the low beam. Not sure why. I thought the colour would look cool (**** factor - but that's why I bought a D2a not a D2).
I also fitted Narva Plus 120 globes into the highbeam.
Turned them on this afternoon and I cannot notice a colour difference between either, they are both nice and white, but if I could go back I'd probably fit the Plus 120 into both. I'm interested to see them tonight in the dark though.

Narva don't make their own globes. The globes I fitted today were in Narva packaging, but the actual globe says Osram on it.

Unless things have changed in the last few years, Narva don't make anything. They are a marketing company.
