    New battery & dual setup

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find much in the search...

I'm in need of a new battery, I've been quoted roughly $300 to get a Century 850CCA fitted and installed.

Anyone know anywhere who could to better?

Secondly, I've been looking at a dual setup for the future, where do you recommend (Sydney area) to get this done, at a reasonable price of course.

    Cheers!

Cant help you with the battery, but for a dual set-up, have a look at the top of the screen, click on the "shop" link, and have a look in there.

Tim from Traxide has been building & selling dual battery kits since Noah was a lad in short pants...

Today i bought a CATERPILLAR P/N 115-2422 which is 1000CCA. It's a premium jobbie with Calcium Grid and under $250 with 1 year replacement warranty followed by 6 years ProRata. Available through your local CATERPILLAR dealer.

    Thanks for the responses guys!

I picked up the 2422 this afternoon (was $234 from Westrac Parra) and just installed it.

So far, so good! As said, it's a perfect fit too!

    Dual battery is next!

Hi s7000, can I suggest that before you buy/install a dual battery system, lay out your ideas for what you want and how you plan to use it.

There are quite a number of different ways to set up a dual battery system.

If you post your ideas up on here and you will get a lot of first hand feedback that may help you make your set up lot better for your use and save you money at the same time.

My next steps are a compressor and fridge for extended camping trips. Eventually I'll get diff locks... All pending cash of course.
