so now you have 2 flow restrictors in series to the fuel cooler...
Well the restrictor that slides in the fuel cooler, is way smaller than the 4mm outlet on the rad spigot.
In fact most new radiators ive seen advertised will say you must also fit part PCS000010, for the earlier models,

As always there is LR TB covering the radiator spec change.
Quote:
AFFECTED RANGE: All Td5 derivatives up to VIN:
Discovery Series II 2A 736340
Defender 2A 622424
RADIATOR - SPECIFICATION CHANGE - TO IMPROVE DURABILITY
The coolant passageways in the radiator have been modified and a restrictor was introduced into the fuel cooler to improve the durability of the radiator. The modified radiator can be fitted as a replacement on all derivatives up to the above VIN numbers, and is fitted as standard from the above VIN numbers. The restrictor, which is supplied with the radiator, must be fitted into the fuel cooler. Illustrations 1 and 2 show a cut away view of the old and new specification radiators.
NOTE: The feed and return pipes, (C and D in illustrations 1 and 2), to the lower section of the radiator have been modified. Do not attempt to open these coolant passageways into the radiator
I've hit this page while searching for TD5 Disco radiator replacement info and there's some great info worth noting.
Is there a preferance for a preffered brand for after market radiator replacements or is genuine the only way to go?
Cheers

Im happy with the G&M one i got, seems as well built as the 1 i took out.
Theres an ebay link further back in the post where i got mine.
How you fit is your personal preference, but there is a recomended way as shown by Land Rover Tech bulletin, depending on what yr/model your LR is, also TD5 discovery & defer rads are different.
Hi Roverv8, I checked the link on page 1 of this thread and the seller no longer has any items for sale. Total feedback = 2.
I'll do a search for G&M branded rads on the net.
I've read a few more posts about how to fit the radiators (drill or not to drill and to fit the restrictor) and I plan on doing it as the tech article which says not to drill and will also fit the restrictor.
I've also read a few posts where people have mentioned finding genuine rads locally for $350 but I can't find any leads as to from where.
Cheers
