Give Justin at lucky8 an email, he's getting some 18"x 10" +6mm made for me for my D2 tried for weeks to get them made in Oz with no luck. Justin says it takes about 2 weeks to get them made...so now I'm waiting patiently

I'm wanting to get some replacement wheels that will push the wheels out an extra 30mm. At the moment I run 18" wheels with 32" tyres on them but would probably look to go up to 33" or 34" tyres next time. I think I will try to stick with 18" wheels as I like the look and less tyre sidewall to flex, so perhaps better handling on the road...
Regarding changing the offset, I want to move the wheels out at least 30mm. The standard offset I believe it +57. The two common offsets seem to be +27 and +6. Not sure if +6 would be too far out for the guards?
From what I remember the Fuel Off Road wheels are all one piece, the bolts where for show.
I will have to get back to you on the brand of the ones I ended up getting, after all the stuffing around I can not remember anymore.
When your looking for new wheels and changing offsets remember that technically you can only change the offset by 25mm per wheel. That changes the D2 rims from +57mm to +32mm, that is the reason I had mine machined to +32mm.
I was looking at the Allied Wheels catalogue ( http://www.alliedwheels.com.au/wp-co..._catalogue.pdf and I really like the Beadlock wheels look. They do two 'imitation beadlocks' which I assume would therefore be road legal.

Good to know. The ZU Alloys are 36mm/38mm offset for 18"/16" - which is 4mm/6mm off the maximum still. I quiet like them in the black colour - DA2456 | 18x8 Zu Alloy Rim - Gloss Black - includes adaptor ring
Last time I checked, which was 12 months ago, allied only did the mumba for D2.

For anything in close to a standard fitment they have the Mumba and I think one other.
They can do the beadlocked 16x8's to suit but they will be a very big offset to standard, from memory it was something like a -10mm which would but them close to 3" further out than the factory rims.
I'm currently investigating the roadworthyness of my rig and the difficulties of engineering for a compliance plate so am looking closely at which wheels can be used...
The backup plan if it's too expensive/difficult will be to go down to 16" x 8" wheels (not sure which though - the Dynamic steel wheels which Les Richmond Automotive sell are +30mm offset which is 2mm too much [overall wheel track increase would be 54mm exceeding the 50mm maximum] and the ZU Alloys are +38mm offset which only increases the wheel track by 38mm out of the 50mm allowed).
As for tyres to suit, maximum increase is 50mm, so overall diameter can't exceed 787.87mm (standard is 737.87mm).
265/70R16 are 10mm under so would work and there is a good range of tyres available in this size.
275/70R16 are 3mm too big
Tyres vary in their size. I did a fair bit of searching and found the original size varied from 737 - 742, (2 x prominent brands, not unknowns @ 742) so going by that 275/70r16 should be ok (+49mm). I'll see if I can find their details.

This link takes you to the Dunlop Grand Trek 3 255/65/16 @ 743mm. (Funny actually because the original tyres on my Surf were 265/70/16 DGTs and they were way SMALLER that other brands).
I can't find the other one at the moment.
