OK Dave, you convinced me - I'll give it a couple of weeks without the acoustic cover and see if I go deaf! :D

Theres nothing like the sound of a diesel in the morning, and charlie still can't surf, Bob :)
It is a diesel!! Clatter Clatter! When the clatter stops we know something is wrong:Rolling:. I like the neater look the cover gives the engine bay, so I removed the acoustic foam lining under the poly cover. As an aside I feel it directs some airflow over the engine like a cowling now that the foam is gone.
I was under the opinion that a foam lined cover on an engine in Australia was akin to wearing a beanie in the summer.
Do you know hat happens when you respond to posts following night shift?
You think someone wrote Oil Filter Cap. So deprived brain struggles to fathom a donut on the Centrifigal filter........
Oh well.... it helped you figure out how to post pics.
cheers
almost as good as my initial read..
I read it as oil filter and was going to respond with "lucky you, some appie has left his filter grip ring on your filter for you"
You guys break me up :D
I was searching back through my posts to see where I had written FILTER instead of FILLER!
As you said strangy, at least I now know how to post a pic! :)
