If your looking at D2's check out the D2a, not sure what the A stands for but it's the last upgrade before D3(2003-2004). Even the S has lots of fruit & great in the dirt.

Not quite
D2 was 99-mid 02.
D2a was mid 02 to mid 04.
THEN the D3 arrived
Good choice mate, take your time and be prepared to pay a little extra for a good example of whatever you pick
If I was doing it again, I'd most likely have held out for a good D2a with lower kms, as I've already spent more than I planned on mods
