Mine has started acting up in the past week.
The remote doesn't work after the car has been standing overnight. If I unlock the door with the key but leave the door closed I can lock then unlock with the fob. Once I've done this it works until the next morning.
It looks suspiciously like a new source of RF interference has moved into the area.
While searching for a bit of information I found this 433mhz sniffer:
Silicon Chip Online - Cheap-N-Easy 433MHz Sniffer
Allegedly you can make for $25, but the pcb board alone is $20 inc postage. Add to that $8 for a reprint of the article with construction details, $11 for the 433mhz RX module from Jaycar plus the other parts and I'd reckon it is closer to $50-60 to build the unit.
The other bit of kit that looks like it would be good for checking for RF interference is the RF Explorer: Home of RF-Explorer and other Microcontroller projects
In terms of RF gear it's really very cheap, but to diagnose a fob problem $130 is a bit spendy.
cheers
Paul

I had the battery disconnected for about 4 hours yesterday. This morning the remote unlocked the d2 without any need for a manual unlock first.
It may be a coincidence but seems like something has been reset by the disconnecting the power.
