    D2 Key FOB buttons etc

I had lost 2 of the buttons out of one of the Disco keys on a trip to Tassie last year. The problem was also that one of the micro switches had fallen out when the buttons were lost. I ordered a unit from the following place in the UK - VMKautolocksmith | Replacement car keys | Key cutting | Auto locksmith | Car locksmith which came with a new case (same as original), a spare battery, two new micro switches and a blank blade.

The pachage arrived within about 7 days and the quality of the parts is excellent. The price of $21 including postage etc was a no brainer in my case .

So if anyone is looking for a supplier of these parts, I can highly recommend them.

    Cheers

Hi IanP - thanks for the pointer.
I've replaced the microswitches on mine form parts from Jaycar, but still have holes in the shell.
I cannot find "LandRover" listed on their site - was the part you bought listed, or did you need to correspond with them first to identify the kit?
    thanks..

Hey Geoff, Bugger *2, but look on the bright side, now you have two keys to sell on EBay!

OK, so what is going to replace the Disco - another Disco?

    Cheers

    Thanks for that!

Just got my Disco 2 and Both the key fobs are falling apart

Will definitely get these. The site says no blades or boards though? Will i need new blades? i think the Boards shoulden't be a problem though.

    Cheers

If you have the keys (blades) and the boards inside the fob, all you need are the buttons assuming that the micro switches are still on the boards.

    Guys...

I have 10 aftermarket (but very good) Keys with blanks and Fobs..

You just take the circuit out of the old key and drop into the new replacement - go to the local locksmith and have the key cut onto the new one...

If anyone wants one... Happy to send them... $10.00...

PM me if you need one.
