    Photographs needed of Rear End

    D2 Drivers

I would appreciate if the following information could be provided (photos where possible esp for 1, 2 &3). Some unlucky chap ran into the back of my car some time ago and the panel beaters have had a go at repairing the car but fell a tad short of my expectations.

    1. Is there a rubber grommet above the rear centre break light on the back door? I'm thinking it would be similar to the grommet under the rear door seal at roughly the same position.
    2. Is there a grommet or some form of wrap that covers the wires running from the top of the back door down to the centre break light. Otherwise just two exposed wires.
    3. Photograph of the point where the rear door bracket is fixed to the back of the car (helps keep the rear door open, when open).
    4. Off the top of your head would you know the part number for the rear diff breather house. The plastic portion which runs up to the rear break light (not the first section out of the diff, but after the first joiner).

There are plenty of other items to be resolved but I have those covered.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Andrew

At the risk of stating the obvious, your car needs a wash

Thanks Will. (I was in struggle town trying to explain this to the panel beaters). Generally their comments were the parts are no longer available which I know is horse poo.

Does anyone else also have a photo of the connection point. Same as the very lower right photo in Will's collection. I'm pretty sure I recall seeing a white nylon washer on this connection, maybe I'm dreaming though. (this is on a D2a but shouldn't matter as both D1 and I believe D2 doors are the same.

    Regards

The one in your head is being kept clean by the cerebrospinal fluid, of course it's going to look different

Next challenge is to find the part number for the grommet running from the rear break light to the door frame. Not easy.

I'd suggest you contact ebay seller Bundalene (Erich) and ask him if he has one.
