Aren't body lifts illegal on SRS fitted vehicles?
Hope whoever you get to engineer it is "agreeable" shall we say?

There are no body lifts as it's illegal on vehicles with SRS air bags.

However, Les Richmond Automotive sell and engineered 2" suspension spacer kit - Performance Suspension Kits - instead of lifting the body, they space the suspension components by 2" giving a similair effect, but remaining legal and engineered.

Alternatively, you may not even need to lift the vehicle any further, consider cutting the wheel arches and fitting flare - Les Richmond White Tiger kit for this Flares & Wheel Arch Extensions

A combo of the above lets you fit up to 35" tyres. I run 32" tyres with just the 4" lift kit and there's plenty of clearance.

Start with replacing the rubber which are probably shagged and you'll gain half an inch back.

Lifting airbagged vehicles is illegal, that kit is for D1. D2 rubbers and mounts are different.

I keep seeing people saying outright that body lifts on SRS vehicles are illegal.

I am going to disagree and suggest anyone who is actually serious about it contact a reputable automotive engineer and your local transport department.

I have approval from Qld Transport for a body lift on the D2 in writing and have cleared everything with my engineer to gain approval.

The only two items left to do is extend the brake & ABS lines and make some new lower radiator mounts.

I will say though, that it is correct that you can not just buy an off the shelf kit but if your willing to put in plenty of research, a bit of design, get your hands dirty, make plenty of phone calls and fill in the appropriate paperwork a lot of modifications are in fact possible.

Anyway, that is my input
