I was able to hit 160 kph on Territory roads back in 2001 in a stock TD5 Discovery. Wasn't any thing left in it though. Only did it the once, just to see what it would do, as you could back then.

All this torque of top speed is great and now that mines chipped, I'm sure it can go faster but ... they still take forever to stop and corner like a battleship!
The first time I put my foot down to see how quickly it now accelerates ... the corner came so quickly I scared the sh*t out of myself trying to stop and then get around it :o !!!
yeah ive had my TD5 go over 130km/h with some grunt left :)

Have to agree with that particularly with standard tyres - around 2500 at 110 kmh. I certainly would be loathe to push it to 150 kmh.Quote:
