    Slick Rock Sway Bar Disconnects

Righty ho...my Slick Rock Disconnects arrived from the U.S yesterday and I'm looking for any tips, tricks and general insight on fitting them. I understand I only need to fit one of them to the passenger side which is a bit of a shame because they are a nice bit of kit to look at.

    Cheers Dave

mmm.. pretty sure thats the one I saw. I'd be interested to know how much extra travel you'd get fitting one to a non-lifted D2, would it be worthwhile since price doesn't seem too bad.

Cheers lads, I've already found the Disco Web piece quite a while back....I guess I am looking for Aulro members experiences of fitting these.

    Thanks for input though...greatly appreciated...

I fitted a 50mm lift with HD springs so it started at more than 50mm. We tried a track prior to the lift then afterwards then with both sway bars disconnected, it flexed a great deal more. I will be fitting the disconnects and probably extending the brake lines and ABS wiring. Check brake lines on fill articulation.

Thanks Ollie....I was going to fit the disconnects today, but and after pulling out my SLABS ecu, I discovered (thanks to Offtrack) the ecu I bought from the US was in fact an earlier model than the one I had already in the D2.....it was meant to be the update ecu with the revised parameters....

Anyway...I'm off for an off road trip tomorrow out the back of Cooroy to see how the chip, .50 CDL and the rest of the goodies I bought fare in the bush...TBC

    Slick rock

    I have a 2001 TD5 2" lift with RTE springs and Bilstein 7100 10" travel.
To keep the vehicle with the same suspensions geometry, you need to adjust your sway bar links 2" longer than stock ones.
Mine is an "ACE" equipped, ECU is sensitive to the sway bar angels, it's active cornering system, keep the links proportional to vehicle lift

So you're saying (outside of the fact that ACE can't have disconnects unless electronic) that the links need to be lengthened the height of the lift to keep things under control?
