got a new rocker injector adjuster bolt? td5

Well this sucks today i had all the injectors out.. Did the seals and washers..
Put the the rocker shaft on. Started on no.1 screwed it down to it hit bottem. Back one turn.
Go to lock the nut up with the screw driver holding the bolt in place. When locking the nut it didnt go to plan it whent tight but starting to turn the screw bolt with it.. So im thinking why is it turning the screw it should just go thight on the nut then its done.

So some how the nut and screw got crossed treaded just as i was locking the nut.

A few minets of yelling at it i gave up trying to fix the threads ill have to get new one.

Where can I get a new bolt and nut?. Ill be calling for a new one from amv too.

    Im at croydon melb.

If you cant get one, ill be replacing mine this week some time-you can have the 4 spares. I did the same thing as you - the nuts may as well be made of cheese. I used a 'afterlock' type of loctite and ditched the busted nut. It has been a year and all good, but i'll replace with new just in case.

The manual says the nuts and adjusters need to be replaced when you do the seals, wonder if you guys found out why.

Anyway thanks for the heads up, I have a seal kit but will now also be buying a set of nuts and adjusters before doing mine.
