    D2a wheel alignment

    Hi, the d2 pulls to the left, infact turns corners by its self so I took it to get a wheel alignment today and they said the cater is out and there is no ajustment for the caster correction, was told I would have to get a caster correction kit to fix the alignment.
    All the kits I've looked at are all for fixing a lifted d2, ours is a standard 2002 d2a td5 auto?
    Is this what I need and does the kit to be fitted by someone with a press?

    There has to be a fairly serious problem there. Has it been like that the whole time you have owned the vehicle? Have you hit a pothole at speed? Ask the shop why it needs the kit, what is bent? If it is that obvious and pulls that hard they / you should pick up something amiss. Always with these problems you need to find the root cause rather than a quick fix that may only mask other underlying problems.

    probably the bushes under the leading arms /axle.

    Les Richmond Automotive sell castor correction plates - Discovery 2
    Alternatively, Nolathane and Superpro do correction bushes.

    Has the vehicle been raised?


    Remember 0 - 2 mm total toe out for D2's.

    Thanks everyone, I'll try and get underneath the car and have a better look, to my knowledge the car has not hit any bad pot holes ( but I don't drive it, crazy lady drivers).
    Ill check the Front Radius Arm and Axle Bushes, What should I be looking for to find the real problem?

    Look for worn bushes, get a tire lever/ biggest screwdriver you have and lever on the bushes to see if there is movement.Clunky movement is no no should be firm in all bushes Look for bent steering links / etc . It just seems strange to suddenly start doing it, unless said lady driver hasnt thought to mention it.( Although in my experience they tend to be quick off the mark on stuff )
