    D2 rear axle snap

Hi Just a quick one I have a snaped rear axle on the drivers side about 2 inch in from the hub.

what is the easest was to get the thing out remove the diff and puch them out or can you grap it with something.

reading the work shop manual seems a bit much and we always have a easier way then what it says

Good to hear it was only an axle..
If you've got a magnetic pickup tool (ie magnet on a stick) give that a try. The spline at the diff end wont be tight so you might get enough pull on it to remove.

A little less work doing an axle than the centre.
If the magnet doesn't work try a peice of pipe over the axle and try the wriggle trick.
Check the other side also for signs off fatigue at the same spot.
