I was not sure whether you were taking the **** with your first post, so I just ignored the potential sarcasm etc. Very hard to read in text.
I think 8 hours is right. When I did mine I removed the bonnet from the car, degreased, let dry a bit. There is a fair bit of window dressing to remove first to get to the rocker cover gaskets. Also fumbled a bit with the bolts in the covers (unusual size). Took my time with surface prep, coil pack was a bit of a pain with regards to unfixing/fixing. Also the plenum didn't want to go back on first time.
As I said earlier it was a very satisfying job. Would happily do another one.

P.S. Removing and reinstating the bolts in the rocker cover was resolved by changing the drive size but kept the same socket size. (?)
