I have a service invoice in the files that came with the car and the fuel pump was replaced a while ago with a pump with the same part number. It was shown as a list price of over $700 and then discounted to 500. Wondering whats actually in it now.

Off the top of my head I paid 240 quid for mine plus 45 quid freight (included a hole lot of other sensors, bits and pieces probably around another 1.5kg of parts). Was on my doorstep in around 4-5 days, as is most stuff I order from the UK from a variety of sites (for other cars as well).
If I can jump in here, I recently had my fuel pump fail, and bought an aftermarket replacement off ebay. Supposedly a Bearmach but can't see any markings to confirm. Had a bit of strife with it as follows:
- The new one leaks at the HP return pipe (uncoloured or black pipe).
- Seller sent a replacement one after I spent a fair bit of time confirming that it wasn't the hoses leaking.
- Second one also seems to leak at the same spot.
- On the original pump, this is a tight fitting, it's a little loose on both the new pumps.
- When I fill the tank, with both the new pumps the gauge only rises to 3/4 full and drops off rapidly.
- Original float and sender resistance runs from ~16ohms (full movement) to 250 ohms (minimum movement). Replacement pump runs from 8 ohms (full movement) to 350 ohms (minimum movement)
- Geometry of the float arms of the replacement pumps is different to the original (picture below)
- The aftermarket pumps have a black top rather than white of the original.
Now, I'm wondering if I've actually been sent one for a Defender, which is basically identical except for the float and sender unit as far as I know.
Does anyone know if the fuel hose connectors are the same for the Disco and Defender pumps, or are there some size differences there as well?
Original pump is on the left, aftermarket on the right

Here's a pic of an original pump - I thought they were black but it would appear not
