If ARB and Ironman do instructions your idea is more likely the correct 1 :)
Any legal issues of fitting an item , say designed and sold to fit a Toyota Hilux xyz model that is then modified to fit a LJ50 Suzuki would come under Fit For Purpose classification and as such would have NO comeback on the original Manufacture. If we use 1 non original bolt in any supplied item we fit to a vehicle all responsibility for the seller/ Original manufacture is voided.
That is my understanding of it anyway :) Could be wrong, Frequently am!:D

I have that bar on mine, install was simple, remove bumper, remove crush cans from chassis, bolt crush cans to bullbar then fit bullbar to chassis, tighten up enuf to still allow movement, have someone pull upwards on bar to allow bar to give space between bullbar and front panel below grill, tighten up and all is well. really was a no brainer, cruch cans on bullbar first was easier than trying to align bullbar with crushcans, hoses from headlight washers just plug back into ones fitted to bullbar, I removed lights in bumper so didnt wire up but should be straight forward enuf

Same as the ARB bar then.
Might have to drill the vertical support holes as the TJM bar rotates forward like the ARB bar does, or so I have heard.
Even with the bolts in, there's still movement in mine :mad:

I have the TJM T15 Bull Bar fitting instructions.
I can email them if you still want them.
NB: the so called 'crush cans' that are removed from the chassis rails are discarded and TJM Chassis mounts are used in their place to mount the bar. The Protection Bar and Towing Loop are retained and refitted.

oops sorry about my incorrect post earlier, yes the crush cans that are on veh is replaced with the ones that come with bar, leave them on bar when fitting, it seemed to be easier

when I try to put a hilift under my TJM bar it rotates back towards the grill. I usually stop just before the "bumper" section of the bar contacts the bodywork under the grill & headlights but I'm sure it would rotate further as at this point the wheels are still on the ground. Does this mean the bolts are loose? or other problems? or just avoid having to jack the front end?

I'm assuming you're using the hilift inserts?
Can't comment on the TJM bar, but on the ARB ones the holes are more elliptical than perfect circles, which means they have a certain amount of room to move. Doesn't matter how tight your nuts and bolts are, 60kg of solid steel up front is going to move a bit.
Best way to solve this is put a vertical hole in through the crush cans and chassis rails, and put another bolt in. This will stop the bar from rotating forwards :)
To a degree that is, mine still moves a little bit.
