    Injectors Codeing TD5

    Hi all

i have replaced MAF removed EGR freed up waste gate, my td5 still blows black smoke under load and feels like it's starving of fuel could coding on the injectors be out slightly out? Had my ECU replaced but but still did not fix the starving issue.

Injector will either codes right or not. The code refctsmhe grade of injector and is a set once operation. Unless you have changed injectors or ecu they should be right .

When you replaced the ECU were the codes for the injectors fitted to the engine and the throttle potentiometer type (2 or 3 pot) entered into the new ECU?
When removing the EGR its also worth cleaning the inlet manifold pressure sensor.
Also check for oil in the injector harness - oil appears in the red plug on the ECU.

yeh the wiring loom was replaced due to oil in it and the ECU. what is the best way to clean manifold sensor?

They are usually covered in "tar" from the EGR - degreaser and an old paint brush should do the trick.

    Silly question but,

Does not lots of black smoke indicate overfueling??

    Cheers,

get a mann & hummel provent, plenty on the forum about it, i have a hose with a tap under mine instead of feeding back into the sump, i empty about a teacup full out of it every 10,000klm , that oil would otherwise be going into the intercooler.
