Question The 3 Amigos plus Auto problems

My Disco Series 2 Tdi has had a problem with the traction control lamp & the abs lamp on the dash since we had a tyre fitted to right rear wheel out bush by a so called tyre fitter! Our local mechanic doesn't have the most up to date computer reader to look at the system & the performance is unchanged. To save me a lot of travel time to my closest Landrover specialist, can anyone advise? Could it be something to do with the wheel sensor being knocked about?
Plus my auto transmission sometimes does not "click in" when first started, but only every now and then. Has had a service, fluid change and refill & check over by our mechanic but he can't find anything wrong with it! It sometimes takes a couple of minutes of gentle idling before the gear suddenly kicks in. I park it on a slight incline every day. Any ideas?

you need to get her to a mech that has a scanner either snap-on modis, scanpro or even better some one with autologic as you need to scan the slabs unit for faults if all the tyre mob did was change the tyre i cant see how this would affect it unless you had a blow out and the tyre hit said abs sensor ??
depends on the fault? if it is the sensor an scan will show this and rectify as needed.

or if shuttle valve failure could be a few things

behind the left hand head light is 2 x earth wires for the abs and also behind the glove box on the a piller is 1 x earth wire id remove ,clean and refit .

carry out a full manuel brake fluid flush as old moisture soaked brake fluid can bring said faults aswell.
after that if you find someone with autologic they can do a full abs module bleed then carry out a power bleed as to ensure flushed and bleed correctly.

if still on then you will need to carry out the abs module replacement and switch assey!!

either way you need to get scaned to learn wat the fault code is

Check the abs harness connector in the wheel arch. It could be that a tug on the sensor wire dislodged the connector. You can also check the wiring to the sensor with a multimeter set to measure resistance. The sensor should measure around 1K ohms.

The slow pick up with the Auto when cold is often an indication that the filter is getting clogged. If you haven't had the filter changed recently that would be the top of my to-do list.

    cheers

    Question Warning lamps on dash

Can anyone advise me whether having a tyre fitted to the rear of my Disco Tdi by a bush mechanic could light up my ABS & Traction Control lamps if the rear wheel sensor was bumped or damaged? Both functions appear to be working & I would like to save myself a 4 hour drive to the closest Landrover dealer to get the computer checked out! Especially if it can be dealt with by our local tyre fitters! Please advise anyone!

Paul has already pointed out what may have occurred.
How long have you had the vehicle?
The warning lights have a habit of staying away for a while, and then appearing for no apparent reason. The wheel change is likely to be a red herring.
