The run out d2 pre face lift in 2002 saw the td5 manual the exact same drive away as the v8 manual... After driving them both back to back I gladly bought the v8 knowing that I would burn more fuel :) I also think that if your talking owning a d2 to high k rebuilds then there is nothing between them in overall running costs including rebuild. Of course when you add LPG to a d2.v8 which is a motor that doesn't suffer at all from LPG then it's a different ball game.
