It's worth getting yourself a copy of the RAVE CD as it contains most of the information you are after.

The cruise control ECU will actually log faults which can be read with Testbook. Neither Nanocom nor Hawkeye seem to include support for the V8 cruise control ECU which is a bit of a blind spot.

I've emailed Colin at BBS to see if this coverage is planned.

I have copies of RAVE & recently purchased a new copy - RAVE IIA from Daves Shop.
I was hoping that there may have been a member that has already been down this road and had the terminal details to hand. I guess I will have to print copies of the circuitry and work it out.
I was under the impression that BBS's Nanocom Evo was able to interogate the CC ECU, part of the reason I have initiated the purchase of a unit.

Have a look at the Description and operation section of the electrical library PDF on RAVE. The connector views section of the same PDF will give you pin outs for the connectors.

There is no mention of cc support in the product description, nor in any of the downloadable material for the Nanocom. And I cant see a cc module listed under D2 Motronic on mine. I could be wrong, however.

    Cheers
    Paul

Got a reply from Ron at BBS. They are going to look into "adding this to the V8 Motronic version in a future upgrade." They also mentioned that no-one had mentioned the absence of this module in the 12+ months the V8 module has been out.

The squeaky wheel approach works really well with BBS, so if anyone needs the V8 CC ECU function ping a (nice) email to support@blackbox-solutions.com asking if they'll add it. The more Nanocom owners who request this, the more likely it will happen in the next update

    cheers

I obviously misunderstood what I had read regarding the capability of the unit for V8 Discovery II. This function, for the Hella Cruise Control, is available for the P38 Range Rover.
I have taken your advice and submitted an email requesting addition to the DII unit

I doubt it's going to be too hard for BBS to enable it on the Nanocom. Sounds like it just got overlooked.

I received an email from BBS (Colin), which in part is copied below.

"It is possible that it may well be added some time in the future, freely
or at an additional cost, but i will certainly make no promises.

All information and any developments pertaining to this will be made
    public on this forum thread.

It appears my problem is a dud vacuum pump.

That's a bit of a "can't be ****ed" response from Colin.

The P38a and D2 V8 share the same part number for the Hella CC ECU so the Nanocom firmware already includes support for the CC ECU. All they have to do is sort out licensing, so there isn't any technical reason for not adding D2 support.

You'd have to assume BBS have a commercial reason not to do so.
