Red ACE error light illuminating on hot days when the vehicle is stationary

There are only a handful of conditions that result in unlocked bars.

According to RAVE's descriptions of the failure modes (60-22 onwards)

Valve stuck open: No ACE Control

Direction control valves
DCV1 and DCV2 stuck open: No ACE control - Anti-roll bars floppy.

Everything else should result in locked bars or vehicle lean.

It might be worth having a look at//recording the ACE inputs with the Nanocom. That would give a bit of an idea what the ECU is reading from the sensors.

I came across this last night, and thought I'd better file for future reference ;)

ACE system capacity: 1.62L
ACE reservoir capacity (filled to upper mark): 0.5L

While not exactly relevant in a lowish km vehicle:

The D2 service schedule lists PAS/ACE reservoir replacement at 250K km. I'd been thinking this might be due to ageing of plastics but I suspect it might be actually due to the filters.

While the exhaust manifold was getting done by Justin today (warped + broken studs) he read the error codes for me - he found one that my Nanocom wasn't picking up - low pressure error. Possible cause is faulty ACE pump as apparently it is very quiet when running. For the moment were going to just leave it and hope it either doesn't cause big problems (at the moment one error every year is something I can happily live with) or some actually goes wrong that is able to be diagnosed and replaced.
