Superlocking not responding
Hi all ,
Have a issue with my 2000 TD5 today. Vehicle has not been used for 3 weeks. When last parked used key fob to superlock as per usual.
Went to open with key fob button and no unlocking of vehicle.
Located my spare key fob and tried again with no results.
I noticed anti-theft alarm indicator flashing brightly every 2 seconds on dash board and radio security light flashing as per usual.
Things I tried,
Had a look at this excellent forum previous posts & so far tried this
Replaced both key fob batteries with new panasonic CR2032 batteries (replaced old batteries 6 months ago)
Checked voltage at starter motor post read 12.55 volts.
Tried key in door lock at various positions & pressed key fob buttons.
Shook and rocked vehicle hoping some thing might happen to wake up alarm from deep sleep.
Has any one had this problem or suggestions how to fix it ?
Thanks Ray

Do you have the 4 number key code for unlocking the vehicle? The one where you tun the key in the drivers door look like a combination lock?.
If so does it allow access?

OK so, you need to contact the dealer with the rego or VIN number (check your rego papers) and get them to retrieve the code from their system. If nothing else, you should get access to the vehicle without the alarm going off.
Once in???? you can see if the system resets????
Also, with the system in lock down, does holding the "lock" on the fob turn on the "see you home" lighting....the headlights should turn on for 30 seconds if the lock button is held down for approx 2 seconds. This at least will see if there is communication from the fob to the BCU.

Thanks wopac5 for your quick reply.
I purchased the vehicle 8 months ago from a dealer , Will ask them tomorrow.
I just tried holding the lock button on the fob as you suggested , nothing happened .

Can you at least open the door using the key?
If so, do that and while alarm is going off, start the car, this resets things sometimes.

Hi alpick,
unable to open door with key , key rotates 90 degrees left or right of centre position with very little resistance (superlocked).
Went to the dealer I purchased vehicle of late today and asked for any assistance , they said they never heard of any thing like this.
Further reading on the forums I think the body control unit (BCU) has gone to sleep !
Will post solution when/if I find out what is going on
Thanks

Well then as Wopac says, you need the Emergency Key Access code. (EKA) from a dealer. And you need to know the correct method of applying it, from the manuals or rave.

Hi, I have a BCU that shuts down after 8 hours, a known issue and a bullitin has been sent out.
So I use the key to unlock the door and then press the key fob before opening the door.
I assumed this was superlocked and didn't reolise that you can't open with the key in superlock?
The bullitin states that the repacement BCU "goes to sleep" after 96 hours not the original 8. Affect models up to 2001.
Cheers, Jerry

Recieved my Emergency Key Access (EKA) code .
Using manual tried to enter EKA code
step 1 Using the key, turn the drivers door lock to the UNLOCK position and hold in this position for at least 5 seconds. An audible warning is then emitted to indicate that the body control unit is ready to accept the code
My vehicle did not emit audible warning while holding key in unlock position for 5 seconds or more. Tried spare key and held longer than 5 seconds . Did a fair few attempts with no results.
Previously when locking disco if I left doors or bonnet not closed properly I would get a audible warning (horn)
