So if you use the Mann spin on how do you change it without undoing the oil return from the turbo?
I find it almost impossible to fit the new one without undoing the return.

Genuine only. The quality has been proven here before..
I used a coopers in the Rangie. Once. Never again. Change oil at 7500ish and it fell apart. Literally. took a long time to tidy up. Might have just been unlucky, but you know what they say, once bitten.
bought from AutoOne.....not sure if they standardise on their brands.
I don't think coopers were widely used for OEM from td5-onwards.
JC will have to answer that one. I don't own a Td5. I do however know a lot of MANN+HUMMEL R&D engineers, so know they are the sole OEM supplier of the centrifuge element.
The LR branded air filter was until recently Mann and Hummel. However the part number has changed recently and the last one I bought no longer had Mann and Hummel stamp.
The recommendation I had from Graeme at British Car Components was to only fit LR branded rotor filters - he felt it wasn't worth going OEM as the Mann and Hummel filters were more expensive.
This was posted to a UK forum re: the Td5 Fuel filters:
TD5 Fuel Filter quality

, like all of you had noticed that genuine Landrover Td5 fuel filters are very expensive.
I cut an old one open to see what was inside, the filter element looks like some sort of compressed velvet, the material is very thick and would trap very fine particles- and block very easily as we have found out!
The Bearmach ones have a conventional paper element inside, I have 2 of these just as a emergency "get you home" supply.
Subsequently I have always fitted genuine LR filters as part of the servicing.
