    Rhino pioneer rack

Just wondering if anyone has a rhino pioneer rack fitted to their D2?

They don't list it as suitable on their website, but I think it is possible

Would be interested in others experiences

i know heaps with them on, and i've got one ordered for mine as well.

mine's going on rola rack 230mm legs and bars (lower), but the 280mm high gutter mount rhino work just as well.

    Thanks for that

What size rack are you getting, and will it mount directly onto the legs as designed or onto bars?

    Rhino pioneer rack

From memory it's the 2012 model (2x1.2m) and its mounting into bars. Fit kit was $90 I think.

    O.K thanks

I am looking at a way to fit it just using the legs with no bar, I have ordered the wider one 1426mm (I think), and when it arrives I will have a crack at mounting it to my shorter Rhino legs with some adapted spacers.

Hopefully it will work, otherwise I will have to mount it on the bars

Also if it is the 2012 you have ordered, it is the luggage tray, not the pioneer platform rack

I have one of these on at the minute, but prefer the streamlined look and flexibility of the pioneer

    Rhino pioneer rack

Sorry you didn't specify the platform in your OP. They do a pioneer tray and a pioneer platform.

    No worries, my bad

I have seen the pioneer trays and they do look good, just want to keep it low profile

They both mount in the same way though, with the legs attaching directly to the rack, removing the need for a cross bar, although they do produce an attachment for connecting it to the HD bars.

I wanted to know if it is possible for the rack to be fitted just using the legs as intended, should have been more specific.

Geez they charge like a wounded bull for one of those pioneers though! I know they look the goods but I think I'm going to keep my rhino bars and whack on a sheet of coated marine ply to make a platform. $50 vs $600-$700. And yes I'm tight.

I've got the 42104 Pioneer Platform fitted to mine. Using the 280mm legs, found I also had to use the leg height spacers (PLHSPAIR) to allow the legs to fit right to the edge of the platform.
