    D2 won't start

    my 2000 D2 won't start, won't even turn over. battery reads 11.5 volts...should at least turn over. When key is turned to start position have plenty of dash lights flashing including red alarm. the dash lights showing are;
    TC
    ABS
    suspension lift arrow up
    downhill decent with exclamation mark
    next to it shows vehicle up and down

    Tried to put in the emergency access code and now I have extra lights flashing...namely the green M and the green S (surrounded by a cog). Still no start.

    Any ideas? I live as far from a landy dealer as you could get so won't get help there...especially an a Saturday

    11.5 = flat IMO.

    How old is the battery?
    What does it read with the key turned to starter?
    11.5 might be enough to run low current things like lights, but if you try draw high current from the battery it (the voltage) will probably drop off to almost nothing....indicating dead battery.

    11.5 volts is not going to be enough to even turn it over (TD5 or V8?).

    It will probably be dropping to nothing once you hit the start position.

    Agree with Judo ^ 11.5 is way too low, most systems start shutting off at and below that figure. Check battery at terminals , Check tightness and condition of terminals and leads, check voltage AT the battery.

    Also try moving he gear shifter and then bringing it back into park firmly. Sometimes the inhibitor switch doesn't quite close properly and you will get the same symptoms. Check "P" is on the dash too.
