    smokin' TD5 - Help!

First the facts - its a 2000 td5 auto with 188000km on it...recently replaced the injector harness, de-egr'd, turbo wastegate actuator wound out 2 1/2 turns.
When I start it first thing in the morning, sometimes its a bit rough and blows white smoke (I know, unburnt diesel) also sometimes rough waiting at traffic lights. Doesn't do it all the time, and the roughness goes once I accelerate.

Under heavy load, such as at 90 up Mount Ousley in 3rd with a 6' high 1.2t trailer behind, it seems to hesitate or stutter occasionally, feels down on power, and blows black smoke. Again, it doesn't do it all the time...

    Any ideas?

Mine was rough on start up a while ago and would occassionally do what you describe. I changed a fuel filter as part of my maintenance and the problem went away. Might be chance though

I'll have to check the air filter & MAF, the EGR has been blanked off, I have a new fuel filter I can fit, so I'll update once I've tried all this.
    Thanks for your help guys
