    Bigger bar bolts.

    Afternoon.
For the past week or so, I've been thinking of things I need to do on the disco, then I remembered that it's broken in a workshop (but getting fixed )
One thing I had recently noticed was the bar "wobbling" over bumpy roads, and I wasn't happy with the amount of movement in it. Yesterday while pushing it around it really became obvious how much movement there was, which was probably made worse by a) me fitting a size smaller bolts width wise when I put the recovery points on and b) getting towed by said recovery points.
So AFAIK, the way to go is the 12mm bolts? This requires some filing of holes I believe.
Do I also put 12mm bolts into the vertical holes that were drilled, or can I get away with just having the 12s in the horizontal holes?
After that it will be fixing the ignition lock, replaced the tatty fake wood trim and some general tidying up
    Cheers

When I had an ARB bar on mine, I was using 12mm bolts in the horizontal holes and still had issues with the bar rotating.

That was until I realised that the fitter had not put the vertical bolts in, after that it was all good, I believe the vertical bolts where around 8mm from memory.

Cheers. I had the vertical holes drilled aaaages ago, and only noticed after I put the longer bolts in for the recovery points how much movement there was in it my fault really, read the wrong line at the bolt shop
