    disco 2 cdl

should be an easy answer. does the cdl have 2 cables from the shifter 1 for the high low the other for the cdl itself? does the disco 1 shifter fit up to disco 2 to allow for the duel operations. i've 2 spare transfers 1 with cdl the other without so am upgrading a 2000 disco 2 to have the cdl option. should be able to just change the high low and cdl housing although will be adding new bearing while apart. can this be done with transfer in car? thanks in advance chris

2000 model should have CDL internals already fitted. I believe the D1 CDL actuator will fit a D2, however will be noisier because of mechanical vibration transference into the cabin

As said above yours should have everything internally, just need one of the cdl engaging kits.

have felt correct spot for cdl shaft and as mine is change over month it appears to be still on factory floor. doesn't matter as i've got complete spare transfer with one fitted. from all research it should be fittable striaght to transfer by changing "output nose" and modding shifter assembly to d1 type. info says plan for 6 to 8 hours to do job. so will plan for whel car can be off road for 2 days when parts suppliers are open as nothing is more frustrating than needing bits at time when no one is open when car is needed next day. (hard lesson)
