SRS Warning light help please

Yellow = SRS system as explained above. If all of the components don't work together then there is a real risk that the driver/passenger could be injured/killed by the airbag. So that pretensioner needs to work to keep you safe.

My SRS light is on at the moment from unclipping the plug we're referring to here.

The Nanocom gave me a "pretensioner fault" for this but I can't recall what it is right now. I'll edit this for reference when I get back into the vehicle in a day or two.

Incidentally I use Posilock connectors a bit on my bike and when the Pretensioner wires were cut on the drivers' side I used one of these to join them. It would be very simple to unscrew each end of the connector if the seat ever had to come out again.

Having a better look at the wiring diagram it appears only one buckle switch is hooked up to the BCU.

There are 3 or 4 ways to configure the seatbelt warning lamp in the BCU. Two are based on the state of the buckle switch.

The buckle warnings can be disabled via the BCU settings with a Nanocom. Perhaps yours have been turned off. Mine certainly have - too annoying to be reminded of something which is a habit for me anyway.

That "must look at" list just never ends eh? Mine gets longer each time I read a few threads on here!

I'd had a play with the warnings a while ago and found the warning kept going even with both front buckles inserted so something is NQR. I've got dash light set to the 6 second setting and the chimes turned off. The bings are too annoying :)

I'm pretty sure it's something that is pretty close to the bottom of the list, but I'll have a look next I need to do some work under the seats. Cleaning oil out of the auto box harness perhaps?

Thanks. Once you've done it once it doesn't quite seem as daunting ;)

As for the auto harness, it's a bit disturbing when you find a nice oily sheen on the wiring in behind the window switch panel. :eek:
