it is the 'crash', (or inertia) switch, yes it can be moved but it must remain vertical, and preferrably in a similar vicinity to where it currently sits. mount it securely. any looseness wil actually set it off when least wanted, ie offroad jolts

Yes, every time I hit my ARB Battery tray with a hammer to line up the mounting bolt, it disconnected.

I had a ph call a while back from an irate owner who after fitting some wiring to their engine bay had inadvertantly whacked the switch and didn't realise. He had spent hours of frustration trying to find the problem when it is only a button push away....

I also remember some mag doing a 'test' on a D2 when they were first released. They caused it to trip while 'test' driving it and had it taken away on a tilt tray to get fixed,as they didn't know why it stopped.
They obviously didn't read the manual.........

Mine has been moved and remounted on the dual battery box. I seem to recall that perhaps I even had to extend the wiring loom to it.

I have had an issue once in it tripping. The vehicle was parked in town and when I returned would not start. Pushed the top of it to reset and the vehicle started. Strange.
