    extending A/C drain pipes

Yesterday I pulled the passenger side A/c drain pipe out of the car to remove the little tit out of the end.
I cleaned out the inside of it with acetone and ran a smear of silicone inside of it.
I pushed a 12 mm. clear plastic tube about 50 mm. into it and pushed the silicone tube just inside the rubber to add a bit more silicone. Blow through tube to make sure it is clear of silicone
I then put two smallish cable ties around the rubber both above and below the collar that fits in the transmission tunnel, ( ie. one tie inside the car and one outside)Let it cure over night.
After faffing about for a couple of hours, I found the best solution was to push the new extended tube down into the hole from inside the car.
A strong wrist to pull the carpet up and away from the passenger's side of the transmission tunnel and then soapy water on the rubber. Pushed the whole grommet through into the trans. tunnel, the pulled it back by using a pair of flat nosed pliers to grab the little rubber sticky out bit that Mr. Land rover thoughtfully molded into it.
Just a shame he failed in such a massive stuff up by putting it above the ZYZ switch in the first place or at least he could have done a recall and lengthened the tube years ago.
Any how I thought it may help some other poor sod out by talking about it here.
Don't forget to push the inner end of the tube onto the A/C unit. Also cable tie the pipe outside away from anything hot or turning.
    Regards Nick ( Worane)

I used a longer bit of plastic hose & carried over the top of the chassis rail to keep it out of the way
