Front Electric Windows
Hi - both my front electric windows have failed a day apart (TD5 - D2) - mechanic has suggested that it is the BCU as you can hear the clicking in the BCU but no power to windows. Has any one had a similar problem and suggested fixes?
All other BCU functions are normal -

Just after I bought the Disco, I had a problem with the driver's window stopping working, which eventually turned out to be the BCU. I had mine fixed under warranty so I don't know what they did but I thought they changed the BCU. Check your fuses under the dash. Each window takes a 30 amp fuse.

Yesterday my drivers side window stopped working. Fuses are all fine; I can hear clicking (relay?) when I press the switch but nothing happens. Is this likely to be a BCU issue too?
Does anyone know what goes wrong with the BCU?
I've found replacement BCU's that are exchanged, so they're fixable, just wondering if I can fix it myself.

My LR mechanic suggested that it was a dry joint in the BCU(I assume that means that there is a gap that requires resoldering) , have not repaired as yet as my drivers side window has started to work again.
You can replace the BCU but would need to be recoded for all the functions it controls.
