Those screws are def not factory, phillip do most motorbike shops have plastic welding, have sent enq to British offroad on sunshine coast, we will see what kinda money they want, i acually think i mite use your idea and just gusset from rear and refit, actually just remembered after posting reply the locking tabs at the front have snapped off, so a replacement maybe the only option

do the best fix with Plasti Bond and super glue
I'll take mine off tomorrow and show you how i did it
the screws are countersunk about 3mm dia,
not tek screws
very easy to do if your patient while the superglue sets
