I reckon its just a spare harness input for something that isnt specced on your vehicle.Mine has several unused plugs like that,I reckon one in a simalar location too.

This is at full extension, hopefully the positioning of stuff in the shots give it a rough reference

Connector C0272 Throttle EGR modulator inlet :)
Exactly! C0272 - Orange and Brown with Pink trace.

There is definitely something plugged in there.
Should it be one half of a Y split?
There is also a black plug C0270 (Modulator-EGR) in pic above that shares the Brown/Pink wire, so could well be a y-split.
So there should be two plugs connected to the EGR modulators on the guard. The throttle and egr modulators have a colour coded socket which should match the harness plugs so make sure they are plugged green - green and black - black.
IIRC that is for EU3 only Paul? Muppets 2001 should still be EU2 unless it is a late VIN...

Double post
It's an April build IIRC.
I'll have a squiz tomorrow but I'm quite sure I saw the modulator and there were two plugs connected.
Wouldn't the EGR being disconnected make it more clattery off idle? Haven't noticed any increase in noise, although after the fan went walkies and was fixed up it seemed to hold hills better.
Then again, I'm still trying to work out if I have a chip or not.
