Thread: Dumb Bullbar Question

Certainly it will assist in carpark bumps and the odd SMALL CENTERED marsupial stoshs that may otherwise get all the way into the rad. Use and understand it for what it is, a slow speed low impact protection device, and it is ok. And they were available in stainless finish or black.

I'd sooner trust the factory tow points for a snatch recovery than those ones, and we've all seen how the factory points hold up!
The brush bars are a bit blingy, okay for small knocks, and can be a place to mount driving lights.
    Now an ARB bar....
That's what I call a front protection device

    I can handle blingy

I do like the ARB bull bars (and they are amongst my top choices), however I want the steel look and theirs are all black or colour coded I think, so below is what Ive decided on (last tax time was new slab and patio done, this year tax time might = turf, so next year might be the bull bar). They make them for D2 too (or at least they did originally, I had a D2 auction saved for a long time)

My front bumper is cracked beneath and I think that one will mean I can get rid of it entirely

The sahara bar comes with a stainless hoop, very nice piece of kit.
    Just not the price tag.
That doesn't look like too bad a bar, and yes it would replace your plastic bumper.

The chrome bar looks like its missing the brackets that bolt to the crush cans. The bar bolts onto the missing brackets.

    Bullbar question

    1976-michelle
you would be better off to wait and put an ebay search on for the type of B/bar that you want,i had a search on for about 2 months before I finally won an Auction for an ARB D2 bar in Powder coated black, only $909.00 plus freight from Vic to Wollongong Another $180 very well worth the wait IMO.
    cheers

Are they hard to get a hold of? I was going to post and ask if it looked like everything was there but didnt want to bother any further . Thanks for the heads up

Modelsp Im after one like the second link I posted from S and J horsepower but itll be a while as it is kinda a luxury item (and kinda not by the exploding roo population around here and the save the roo groups that prevent a damn cull). This was just an inbetweener but perhaps Ill pass.

As far as I'm aware the mounts only came as part of the complete kit. I can't see any sign of the mounts being listed as a separate part in Microcat, so you'd need to get a set made up to suit.

    cheers
