    Exclamation Oil in computer

Hi, with such a well known fault I was sure I'd find an answer already here, maybe I just are not looking right. I know when 'she' asks me to get something I can never find it but it is right there in front of me.
Now I know the problem comes from the injector loom and I have ordered a new one, my question is, what to do about the oil allready in the external loom to the computer?
I have taken the cover off the computer, there is very little oil in there and no problem yet, yet!
I have cleaned everything up to the best of my ability but I would hate to put it all back together without fixing as much as possible.

I started the job simply, (perhaps simply is not the right word, I have to remember it's a Land Rover, don't ya just luv em?) trying to fix an oil leak from the oil cooler.
The hoses were loose to the turbo, sand had damaged the compressor vanes, the exhaust manifold was warped, get that faced, port and polished the manifold and the turbo, heard about removing the EGR valve, pulled it off<<<<<<<<<<<<< argh, the gunk in the intake manifold and ports, cleaned them up, so it is a definite, there is to be no EGR on this vehicle again.

Then I decided to replace all the coolant hoses, geez those spring clips can be F,F, frustrating so now, lights out battery and battery box out, computer out, replaced the water pump, (don't want to have to do all that dis-assembly again).

So, back to where I started, is there anything I can do about residual oil in the external wiring loom?

Do what I did and take the gasket out.
All the injector wires are at the bottom on a D2 anyway( devilishly clever these Poms) so the oil will then just drain away.
I cleaned mine again yesterday after about 4 weeks and there was still a small amount there but it is reducing.

To save on starting another injector harness thread...
I have an intermintent rough idle, but no oil at the red ecu plug. Is it likely the injector harness be faulty causing the problem even thou no oil in getting to the ecu?

    Duurrr, I told you so!

I looked again, this time I looked for 'injector loom', walla, there is all the information I could need.
Thanks Adam for the tip as well, I'll do as you suggest.

Yes, contaminated contacts are the main issue.
