good morning all,im looking to get the double cardan joint rebuilt, can any one recommend any where in brisbane or SEQ that would be willing to do it,ive made a couple of calls and no one seems to interested doing this rebuild, all suggest buy a new prop shaft, also any ideas on what price i would expect to pay? thankyou.

Pretty easy to do it yourself, although I have never treid to replace the centre joint.
Otherwise give MR Automotive a call, they should be able to do it or know of someone that can.

Driveline services at Acacia Ridge should have the parts if you wish to do your own rebuild otherwise they have full workshop facilities for repairs and modifications.

I think they are in Hamilton (Eagle Farm)or close to. They were the ones I used and would use again.

thanks for the replies, I took the disco to hardy spicer (darra) had a quote of $275 the same as Andrew d. going to take out the drive shaft this week and drop it off to them. I had the front uni done a couple of month back by the mob at acacia ridge as quoted by aptfab.. they weren't keen on doing the double cardan and fobbed me off..anyway sounds like im on a winner now...thanks again
