    Oxygen Sensors not working

I've just replaced both sensors in my 2003 V8 because one was not reading correctly.
I use a Bluetooth dongle & Torque on my phone to monitor stuff like this.
One of them was reading 0. 4v constantly.
I've cleared the codes but I'm not getting any readings out of the sensors at all.
I've driven around for half an hour or so and the car runs fine.
I tried disconnecting the battery for 45mins or so & still no joy.
    Have I missed something?

The O2 sensor error comes up on my Bluetooth/Torque as well but I haven't bothered looking into it any further since the car seems to be running fine anyway.

I just drove to the Sunshine coast & back & yes the car is running well....but there's are still no readings from the sensors.

usually a properly functioning sensor will fluctuate from 0.1-0.9v & the short term fuel trim fluctuates as well but i've got 0 on all fronts with a long term fuel trim on 1 bank of 25 & 0.8 on the other.

Certainly not the result i was after when i spent a butt load of cash on new sensors

Did you have to reset the stereo. If not you didn't reset the memory. (you will need the security code for the stereo)

Put your foot on the brake for 10 sec will ensure all residual charge is gone.

So, I went & had the fault codes cleared & there was still no data out of the sensors.
I replaced fuse 2 under the bonnet even though it tested OK just in case.
I've just put my old supposedly faulty sensors back in & they're flicking away happily
Maybe the professional fault clearing has allowed the old ones to work again.
I guess I had 2 faulty sensors or maybe the wrong ones, I don't know but they're going back.

Where did you get the sensors from and were they aftermarket?

I use a cheap BlueTooth generic OBD-II reader on my Disco too.
My sensors are playing up also, all I have to do is clear the codes every now and again she runs fine.
Must get round to replacing them soon though. Been doing this for a few months now.

I get a "hiccup" now and again which will cause poor running, plug in the reader, read and clear the codes, and hey presto! All good again.

    Cheers,

So can you clear the codes with Torque? I assumed you would need at least a nanocom for that.
