    Getting a new key Fob

    I have climbed the highest mountains, I have run through the fields, Only to be with you... Only to be with you.
    I have run, I have crawled I have scaled these city walls, only to be with you...
    But I still haven't found What I'm looking for...............
    In the words of U2. My search has failed...

    I'm looking to get another Key Fob for the Disco, I'm not sure what frequency it is, what's the best/easiest way to find out and then purchase what I need?

    I don't have a nanocom or anything of the like.

    What year?

    Later (post 01, I think) are 433 MHz

    eBay UK is a good source for a used key, buy some new cases and get a new blank cut, then get it programmed

    If your car is 433mHz I got one the other week from here. Coded it to the car with the Nanocom in about 5 mins.

    If you are not certain what frequency you have ring a landrover dealer with your VIN and they should be able to advise.

    Check out the site INC posted up in LINKS, [top right hand corner] first cab off the rank ' internet based, international.' Try Immobiliser Problems, Key Fob Repair and Replacement, Immobiliser Bypass I just bought a new key fob off them, they send you the programmer, & refund 30 Euros when you send it back [ they also send you the EKA code] All done within a week, cheaper than anywhere in Aus. Bob

    It's an '01, so I'm guessing could be either.

    I'm pretty sure the change over to 433Mhz is earlier than 01. Microcat lists my 2000MY (May 2000 build) as 433Mhz. I guess I'll find out for certain today, as I've bought a spare key from the ebay seller Rok_Dr linked to.

    On the back of your key there is a number [ or should be] Mine is ceo165, according to remotekeyfrance, that indicates 433Mhz. My D2 is 2000 model. Bob

    I've been told by a guy here in Darwin it cost him $6??.00 from the dealer.
